I hate that people assume I get my history from Hetalia. No, I love history. It has been my best subject for years and now I’m minoring in it. I love hetalia and I love history but I never mix up the two.

Am I the only one who doesn’t really ship anything in this fandom? I just don’t like seeing the countries stuck together on a whim, without even knowing why. I also despise shipping wars and people who feel the need to have pairings for their “Yaoi tiemz.” It is not amusing, not acceptable, and most certainly not proper. I just feel staying out of it is best anyway. Also, when I tell people I have no OTP they automatically assume I’m stupid/here to bash pairings. I’m tolerant of pairings and respect your choice, but sometimes, I wish I’d gone and told them “And why is this your OTP?” Although I’d probably get something along the lines of “It’s smexxi :3” from brain-dead fangirls.
“I hate how every time I mention something about another country, my friends think I learned it from Hetalia.” I recently got a couple of my friends into Hetalia and now every time I mention something about another country/culture/language/ect my friends think I learned it from Hetalia.
For example, this one boy in my grade was telling me about how he is learning Russian because he is Russian and stuff and I mentioned how parts of their alphabet are different from ours. My friend went up to me and was like “You learned that from Hetalia, didn’t you?”
NO! I’m allowed to know other things about countries and stuff without having learned if from Hetalia!

Could you please not tag your posts with the country names? I'd appreciate it if you would put something like, "aph Lithuania" instead. There are people who don't know about Hetalia and might get personally offended. Please show some common courtesy to other tumblr users and especially to the people who are from said countries.

I really hate, when I see WWII-related fanworks, in which Lithuania acts like Poland’s main protector. During WWII Poles and Lithuanians were very bitter enemies - many Lithuanians were joining nazis and killing Poles (read the Wikipedia article about Ponary massacre). Liet as Poland’s Guardian Angel has also nothing to do with the show, cause in Hetalia canon these two were separated at this time (Liet was with Russia). This thing bothers me more than showing these two as friends in the interwar period (when in the real life these countries hated each other so much after Vilnius conflict, that they weren’t even having diplomatic relations with each other in the years 1922-1938).
